To get the most out of your facial, please arrive with a clean face, ideally free of heavy makeup and skincare products. Avoid using retinol, AHAs, BHAs, or exfoliants for at least 48–72 hours before your appointment, as these ingredients can increase skin sensitivity. If you are planning to wax or shave your face, be sure to do so at least 24–48 hours before your facial to avoid irritation. It's also best to skip any intense sun exposure or tanning before your treatment. If you’re currently taking any medication that affects your skin, such as Accutane or antibiotics, please inform your esthetician in advance so that your service can be tailored to your skin’s specific needs.
After your facial, your skin may feel extra smooth, hydrated, or slightly sensitive depending on the treatments used. Avoid wearing makeup or using harsh skincare products—including retinols, AHAs, BHAs, or exfoliants—for at least 24–48 hours to allow your skin time to heal and absorb the benefits of your facial. Refrain from sun exposure, sweating, and heat-based activities, such as saunas or hot yoga, for a full day after your treatment. Be sure to stay hydrated and use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer to support your skin’s recovery. Consistent home care and sun protection will help extend the glow and maximize the long-term results of your facial.
To ensure the best and safest results from your dermaplaning facial, please refrain from using any retinols, exfoliants, AHAs, BHAs, or active acne treatments for at least 3–5 days before your appointment. Avoid scheduling waxing, laser treatments, or chemical peels within one week of your dermaplaning session. If you’re experiencing any active breakouts, cuts, or sunburn, we may need to reschedule for the safety of your skin. Please come to your appointment with clean skin—free of makeup, heavy moisturizers, or SPF—so your esthetician can begin treatment right away. If you’re unsure whether your current skincare routine is compatible with dermaplaning, please don't hesitate to reach out ahead of time for personalized guidance.
After your dermaplaning facial, your skin will be incredibly smooth, fresh, and more absorbent—but also more vulnerable to sun and product sensitivity. For the first 24–48 hours, avoid sun exposure, heat, and exfoliating products, as well as active ingredients such as retinol, vitamin C, glycolic acid, or salicylic acid. Use a gentle cleanser, a hydrating moisturizer, and always apply SPF daily to protect your newly exfoliated skin. Refrain from wearing heavy makeup immediately afterward to let your skin breathe and heal. With proper aftercare, dermaplaning yields a radiant, refined complexion, enhanced product absorption, and minimal downtime.
To prepare your skin for a nano-needling session, avoid using retinols, exfoliants, AHAs, BHAs, or any other harsh skincare products for at least 3–5 days before your appointment. Avoid scheduling chemical peels, waxing, or laser treatments within one week of your session. Come to your appointment with clean skin and no makeup, if possible. If you're currently experiencing a breakout, rash, or any open lesions, please notify your esthetician, as nano-needling may need to be postponed. It’s also recommended to avoid sun exposure and stay well-hydrated in the days leading up to your treatment to support optimal skin recovery and results.
After your nano-needling facial, your skin may appear slightly flushed or feel tight, similar to a mild sunburn—this is normal and usually subsides within 24 hours. Avoid applying makeup for the rest of the day to allow your skin to breathe and initiate the healing process. For at least 48 hours, refrain from using active ingredients such as retinols, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C, or exfoliants. Avoid sun exposure, heat, saunas, or intense workouts for the first 24–48 hours to minimize irritation. Use a gentle cleanser and apply hydrating serums or moisturizers to nourish and support the skin barrier. Daily sunscreen is essential following nano-needling, as your skin will be more sensitive to UV rays. With consistent care, nano-needling can dramatically improve skin texture, tone, and product absorption.
Waxing is a convenient, cost-effective, and longer-lasting method of removing unwanted and unsightly body hair. It removes hair directly from the root, so it takes longer for hair to grow back. Anywhere from 3 to 8 weeks, depending on the individual's hair growth speed. The hair grows back much finer and softer, and does not cause any ugly stubble as seen just a day after shaving. After repeated sessions of waxing, you will notice significantly reduced hair growth, and it may even stop eventually.
PRE-WAXING TIPS:
You will need approximately 3-4 weeks of hair growth to ensure your waxing treatment lasts longer. We have found that when waxing hair that is shorter than this growth period, the hairs don't stay away as long. This is our way of ensuring that our clients are delighted with their experience.
The day before your waxing appointment, use a body scrub to exfoliate the skin. While the skin on the face is generally exfoliated enough through waxing, the body requires a little extra help. A somewhat gritty body scrub will help rid dead cells around skin pores and hair follicles, providing an easier waxing service for both you and the waxing professional.
If you are sensitive to waxing, we suggest using a numbing cream to reduce sensitivity. We recommend Bare Ease or No-Scream Cream (available for purchase from our boutique). Apply it 15-30 minutes before your appointment.
POST WAXING TIPS:
For at least 24 hours after waxing, avoid direct sunlight, tanning beds, and any other activities that may irritate the area. Wear loose, breathable clothing to prevent friction and allow your skin to breathe. Tight clothing can rub against the treated area, causing irritation or ingrown hairs.
Avoid using any high-fragranced lotions or creams in the area. To help prevent ingrown hairs, start exfoliating the area 3 days after your waxing
session, then continue 2–3 times per week. Keep the skin around the area hydrated. It helps prevent ingrown hairs and keeps your skin feeling fresh and smooth between appointments.
To ensure the best results from your brow lamination treatment, please arrive with clean, makeup-free skin—especially around the brow area. Avoid using any retinol, AHAs, BHAs, or exfoliating products on or near your brows for at least 72 hours before your appointment, as these can cause sensitivity. Avoid tweezing, waxing, or tinting your brows for at least 48 hours before your treatment. If you have recently had a spray tan or plan to get one, make sure it is done after your brow lamination, not before. We also recommend rescheduling if your skin is sunburned or irritated in the brow area, as the treatment could further aggravate it.
After your brow lamination, avoid getting your brows wet for the first 24 hours—this includes steam, excessive sweating, and washing your face directly around the brow area. Do not apply makeup, oils, creams, or active skincare products to the brows during this period. For the first few days, avoid heavy exfoliation or sun exposure to prevent irritation. Once the 24-hour window has passed, begin brushing your brows daily with a spoolie to keep them styled and groomed. Keeping your brows hydrated with a nourishing brow serum or conditioner helps maintain the results and keeps the hair healthy, soft, and flexible.
For the best lash lamination results, please arrive with clean, makeup-free eyes and lashes—this means no mascara, eyeliner, or oils around the eye area. Avoid using waterproof mascara or lash serums for at least 48 hours prior, as they can create a barrier that affects the lift. Do not curl your lashes on the day of your appointment. If you wear contact lenses, we recommend removing them before your session to avoid irritation. If you’ve recently undergone any eye treatments or experienced an infection, please wait until your eyes are fully healed before scheduling your appointment. Clean, healthy lashes are key to achieving a beautiful, even lift!
To maintain your results and protect your lashes, avoid getting them wet for at least 24 hours after your lash lamination—this includes steam, tears, swimming, and facial cleansers. Refrain from applying mascara, oils, eye makeup, or lash serums during this period, as the lashes are still setting into their new shape. Avoid sleeping face-down to prevent disrupting the lift. After the first 24 hours, you can resume your routine. However, we recommend gently brushing your lashes with a clean spoolie and applying a nourishing lash serum or conditioner regularly to keep them healthy and hydrated. With proper aftercare, your lifted lashes will stay curled and beautiful for 6–8 weeks!
