We offer a variety of hair removal methods, including hard and soft wax, threading, tweezing, and sugaring. Each method is chosen based on your hair type, skin sensitivity, and personal preferences.
If you are currently taking antibiotics—especially oral antibiotics—we recommend postponing your waxing appointment until you’ve completed your medication and your skin has had time to recover.
Why? Antibiotics can make your skin more sensitive, thin, and reactive, which increases the risk of:
This is particularly important for facial waxing, Brazilian waxing, or any area with thinner or more delicate skin. Even if you don’t feel increased sensitivity, your skin may still be compromised. For your safety and the best results, we recommend waiting at least 7 days after your last dose before resuming waxing services. Always inform your Esthetician about any medications (topical or oral) during your consultation so that we can make the best recommendations for your skin’s health.
If you're using Retin-A, Accutane, or other prescription exfoliants, please let us know before your appointment. These can thin the skin and increase the risk of irritation or lifting during waxing. We'll help you choose a safe hair removal method.
Everyone experiences pain differently, but we use high-quality wax and a gentle technique to minimize discomfort. The first wax is typically the most sensitive; regular appointments help reduce pain over time.
Exfoliate gently 24 hours before your appointment and come with clean, dry skin. Avoid lotions or oils, and wear loose clothing for comfort afterward.
We kindly request that you allow a minimum of 3 weeks for hair growth before your appointment. Ideally, your hair should be approximately 1/4 inch long (roughly the size of a grain of rice). This ensures that the wax or sugar can grip the hair effectively for the smoothest results. Allowing full growth helps more hairs reach the same stage in the growth cycle, resulting in better removal, longer-lasting results, and softer skin. With regular appointments spaced 4–6 weeks apart, you’ll notice less regrowth over time and a more consistent waxing experience.
Most clients return every 4–6 weeks for best results. Staying consistent with your waxing schedule helps slow down regrowth, allows more hairs to grow in at the same rate, and makes each session more comfortable over time. Equally important is your post-care routine. Keeping the skin clean, exfoliated, and well-hydrated between visits helps prevent ingrown hairs, irritation, and uneven regrowth. Following the recommended aftercare ensures your skin stays smooth, healthy, and ready for your next appointment.
Yes, you can get waxed during your cycle, but keep in mind that your skin may be more sensitive due to hormonal changes. This can make the experience slightly more uncomfortable than usual. If you choose to book during this time, please wear a clean tampon or menstrual cup, and let your esthetician know so we can take extra care to ensure your comfort throughout the service. If you're especially sensitive to pain, you may want to schedule your appointment outside of your menstrual window for a more comfortable experience.
Yes, waxing during pregnancy is generally safe, but your skin may be more sensitive due to hormonal changes. We’ll adjust your position for comfort and check in with you throughout the service to ensure you're at ease. If you have not been receiving Brazilian waxes regularly before pregnancy, we kindly ask that you wait until after your first trimester before scheduling your first Brazilian wax. This helps minimize discomfort and allows your body time to adjust during those early weeks. Always consult with your healthcare provider if you’re unsure or have specific concerns before booking your appointment.
Yes! All of our treatments are available to clients of all genders. The only exception is the Manzilian, which is a specialized Brazilian wax. This service requires additional time to ensure comfort, precision, and safety during the treatment due to anatomical differences. Our most popular services among male clients include brow grooming, Purifying Mini Facial, and waxing between the cheeks. However, you're welcome to book any service that suits your needs. At The Brow Parlour, we’re committed to creating a welcoming and professional environment for everyone.
